Must Read

Assume that you will be picking up litter for 30-60 minutes

What to bring:
  • Your own gloves (and any extras to share). Really, you will want gloves.
  • Optional: claw/trash-pickers
  • If you have a rake, bring it (put your name on it first!)
  • Filled reusable water bottle
  • We recommend wearing long pants with socks pulled up
  • Rain boots or sneakers. Many areas will be very muddy and wet.

Where to go:
  • You were emailed your assigned site. Please get there by 9:30 AM.
  • You will meet your site leader there
  • If you happen to finish your site early, you can pick another site to go to! If you have young kids, please pick an area labeled as  "Small Kid Friendly".

What to do:
  • Use gloves and be cautious while picking up trash.
  • Deposit trash into black bags and separate recyclables (cans and plastic bottles into clear bags)
  • Remember: supermarket plastic bags are NOT recyclable in Glen Rock!
  • Please supervise your children carefully.
  • Alert your site leader if you find anything of concern (syringes, etc)
  • Filled your trash and recycling bags? Bring them to your site leader!
  • Take a ton of pictures and post them to social media #GRCleanUp! We want to see what is out there.  Don't forget to take before and after pictures, especially with your whole group!

PRIZES:
Take pictures of any unusual pieces of trash for a chance to win a prize!
