The Last Straw

In the next 6 months the Glen Rock Green Team will launch a straw reduction campaign. The goals will be to:
1. Get restaurants in town to stop offering plastic straws and to switch to paper, stainless steel, etc straws.
2. To get residents to REFUSE THE STRAW.

Student Volunteer Project

To accomplish goal 2, we are asking students to volunteer to create signs that we can place around town and on social media. Create as many signs as you want!!! The signs will be geared toward Glen Rock residents and visitors (not store owners). We will sign-off on any volunteer hours but you must track them yourself.

SIGN SPECS:
- Each sign must be created on an 8x10 piece of paper.  You can use regular office paper or card stock.
- Include #TheLastStraw and GreenUpGlenRock.com on each sign.
- Have at least one plastic straw fact on each sign.
- Write your full name and your adult's email address on the back, in pencil.
- Remember, this is not about not buying straws to use at home, this is to get them to refuse straws at restaurants.

Samples that you can copy and steal from! But you can also start from scratch. Click the image to see it full size.
Drop off all posters to Laura Occhipinti, 160 Lowell Rd Glen Rock NJ by 5.23.18
Remember to put your full name and your adult's email address on the back, in pencil.
