Summer 2018 Internship Program

Picture
The Glen Rock Green Team will be offering volunteer internships to students and recent college graduates.  All internship positions are volunteer based, but we will be happy to sign-off on volunteer hours, provide letters of recommendation, and work with your college so credit can be earned.

Students should NOT be afraid to apply based on lack of skills or experience. We are looking for hardworking residents who are available as little as 3 hours per week during the summer. The more hours you are available, the more jobs we can give you.

Depending on skills, interest, and experience, interns will:
Work with the Green Team to support their Year of Plastic campaign by:
- Creating educational videos

- Talking with business owners
- Doing internet research
- Hanging flyers
- Writing Press Releases
- Leading Teen Events
- Monitoring Social Media Platform (Facebook and Insta)
- Taking Pictures
- Updating the Website
- Creating Graphic Images

Together the interns will:
- Plan and run a Styrofoam Drive
- Reduce Plastic Straw Usage
- Reduce Plastic Bag Usage
- Arrange for a screening of the Plastic Ocean
- Help Boro Hall go Bottle Free
- Increase Recycling
